: The development of nation\u27s character should be associated with the reinforcement of nationalism. With the strong nationalism, the reflection of character of Indonesia will emerge in all activities for the improvement of nation quality. Education takes an important role in its effort. As a tool of self expression, social expression, nationality expression, and professionality expression, language is become a fundamental need in education. By an integrated language learning based on historical-philosophycal understanding about Indonesia with its local wisdom, nationalism, and global horizon, the spirit of nationalism can be improved to strengthen the character of Indonesia.
